“Ceri builds on contemporary thinking in physiology to explain the neurobiological basis for a counterintuitive mental strategy: challenging ourselves to face the threat and find a solution.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED
can we adjust the basic programme structure?
The Foundation and Masterclass programs are well-tested sequences and formats that work well. However, this structure is designed to be flexible and can easily be adapted to meet your needs or circumstances. Think of the program structures as starting points that you can discuss with Ceri to find the format and delivery options that suit you best.
does it matter if we don’t have a background in biology or science?
No, not at all. The sessions do not require any prior understanding of psychology, the brain, or science in general. The Red-Blue Mind Model has been used effectively at primary school level, so it is an incredibly easy model to pick up and use. The whole idea is to take complex ideas from neuroscience and make them so easy to understand that you can actually apply them in real life pressure situations.
does our team need to have a high level of trust to do the workshops?
The Perform Under Pressure Program is a great way to accelerate the development of trust. Rather than waiting for your team to arrive at a particular level of familiarity and comfort before you begin to address your culture, the Workshops can be used as a catalyst for greater understanding, respect and cohesion.
does ceri run the sessions personally?
Yes. Ceri’s clients prefer to work directly with him to leverage his background in professional sport and as a medical specialist, his thinking as the creator of the Red-Blue Mind Model, and his experience working hands-on with leading performers across many fields.
does ceri address mental wellbeing as well as mental performance?
Yes. The Red Blue Mind Model provides a way of understanding pressure that helps with mental wellbeing from the outset. On top of this, the Resilience Under Pressure Workshop specifically focuses on maintaining a sense of wellness in demanding environments, addressing burnout, stress, and how to create healthy, psychologically-informed environments.
